Hablar un segundo idioma es algo básico, por lo que una persona que maneje solo una lengua se encuentra en una gran desventaja”, sostiene Thomas Hanns Treutler, director de Idiomas de EAFIT, quien añade que aunque en el país se ha mejorado en ese tema aún no se han alcanzado los niveles esperados.

 

 En el caso de Medellín, Michael Cooper, director del Centro Colombo Americano, opina que todavía falta mucho trabajo para que las personas estén más cerca de las posibilidades de hablar inglés.

Se puede decir que la mayoría de la gente puede tener unos conocimientos de inglés, pero para ser bilingüe hay que hablar perfectamente los dos idiomas, y no creo que se vaya a llega hasta ese punto en la ciudad o en el país”, refiere Cooper.

 

APRENDER INGLÉS

Según el Director de Idiomas de EAFIT, existen

diferentes metodologías de aprendizaje de un

segundo idioma, pero se debe buscar que sean

realistas.

 

“Es muy importante entender que en algunas partes

prometen aprender inglés en seis meses o mientras

se duerme, pero dominar un idioma requiere

mucho trabajo y dedicación”, advierte.

De esa forma, si una persona no está en el país

donde se habla el idioma, tiene que dedicar cerca

de un año a cada uno de los seis niveles

establecidos en el Marco Común Europeo de

Referencia, es decir A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 y C2.

“The language English is very necessary in the lives of all, because anywhere in the world, we need to now English to communicate with others. When we travel to another part of the world on many occasions we need to know this language” She said.

“Studying English is very important because it’s the universal language, beside it allows us to have more job opportunities, also, to have a good communication with foreigners. It’s important too, because most universities has a requirement that people have to study English to join them” .she said

“English is the global language, anywhere in the word you are going to find people that speak English. English or any other knowledge is like a valuable jewel that nobody can steal you”. He said

Alexander Londoño Álzate 7c

 

“For me English is important because when i travel it can help me a lot to communicate with any tourist guide to help me on my journey. Also if my trip is of business, in order to have a good communication with the person that I will sell or buy something. For that reason it is important”. He said.

“English is very important for many things such as to learn to communicate in other language and it is the most important in the world” he said
